VICTORIA ROVER SCOUT CREW
CREW LOGBOOK 1999-2000

Formal Picnic

Present: Jo, Amanda, Katy, Sheryl, Toni, Lisa, Marie, Kelly, Cathy, Fe, Renae, Dave, Dan, Baz, Tony

Everyone dressed up in their flashest gears – Top hats and high heels, shoes everywhere, though not usually on the same people, and moved on mass to the Dell in the botanical gardens.

There was a brilliant turn-out, with people from Christchurch, Nelson, etc all joining us in a typical rover excuse to have a few drinks. Even a pair of innocent unsuspecting Australians (who Toni well..was doing her damndest to jump) joined us, along with two very friendly botanical gardens staff who said yes to taking a photo and were left lost forever under a pile of cameras. Good on ya guys, they made the ultimate sacrifice for a bunch of pissed bastards.

As the heat level (and the blood alcohol level) rose higher and higher people began to seek refuge in the fountain (though not voluntarily in some cases), encouraging small children to drown their siblings and soak peoples cigarettes (sorry Kelly).

Many rather pissed and pink people headed back to Scarf Hall to drink more, and with people passing out on the floor, it was overall a bloody good day and another excuse to get hell smashed.
